Speech & Language
We are proud to offer a unique blend of expertise and individualized care to people of all stages of life and health.

Speech & Articulation
I work with articulation, fluency & voice. Articulation is the sounds a person produces when speaking as well as articulation issues such as when one has difficulty producing sounds correctly in words, phrases, sentences, etc.
Fluency issues like when a person may have issues with a stutter or cluttering "talking too fast", has to do with the rate and flow of speech. And voice refers to a person's pitch, volume and quality of words.

Language
Language refers to how a person uses words to communicate wants and thoughts and is comprised of two categories: Receptive Language and Expressive Language. Receptive Language refers to how a person comprehends spoken language. Expressive Language refers to how a person uses words to convey their thoughts. Each category is evaluated then a specialized therapy is formed if needed.

Feeding & Swallowing
Feeding and swallowing refers to an individual's ability to chew and swallow food in its various presentations. If the client is showing signs of weak control while eating and swallowing this may need to be strengthened to improve speech.

Pragmatics
The term pragmatics refers to a person's ability to navigate social environments using proper communication skills and age appropriate social behaviors. I work with each clients individual needs to strengthen their communication so they can thrive in all social environments.
